Adoption Fees
There is a significant cost to the rescue when preparing a dog for adoption. Whether the dog is local or arriving internationally, they all receive medical attention. This includes but is not limited to vet check-ups, deworming, neutering/spaying, vaccinations or any other medical treatments the dog may need.
We strive to keep our fees as low as possible while continuing to run our rescue. Our adoption fees are as follows:
Bonded dogs
The fees for bonded dogs are individual. Adopters are required to pay the adoption fee for each dog based on their age as posted above.
Each Local & International Adoption Fees Cover
Many of our rescued dogs need expensive dental work and medical treatment. We have dogs in need of amputations, tumour removals or chemo treatments. Every dog deserves a chance, so we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us save and care for these dogs with your donations, adoption fees, and participation in fundraisers!
Because we are 100% volunteer based, all money from adoption fees goes back to the dogs for vetting, transportation costs, food, leashes, collars, and anything else they need.
Why import dogs when we have dogs in Canada needing homes?
CB Rescue makes it a priority to be available to help local dogs when possible, we accept many local surrenders and take in many dogs from the reserves. As a small breed rescue, there is a smaller number of those breeds needing help in our local community, therefore we partner with rescues all over North America & Mexico that have an abundance as small breed dogs needing homes.
We strive to keep our fees as low as possible while continuing to run our rescue. Our adoption fees are as follows:
- 4 months - 8 years - $850
- 8 years and older - $550
