Meet Our Dogs

​All of our dogs are fully vetted before they are adopted.
​We require our dogs to participate in either puppy or obedience classes as per our adoption agreement.

Poppy

Meet Poppy
Location: Calgary
  • 1.5 years old
  • Basset Hound/Terrier mix
  • 39 lbs 
Poppy was abandoned on the streets luckily a good samaritan found her. She likes other dogs and is very independent. Poppy is crate, house and leash trained and is great in the car. She is low energy with medium energy bursts. Poppy loves her walks, she is not reactive on leash. She is a very chill dog. Poppy is so friendly and she loves her snuggles with you.​​

Bella

Meet Bella
Location: Calgary
  • 1.5 years old
  • Kokoni /Spaniel mix.
  • 42 lbs 
Bella loves dogs, cats, kids and farm animals. She is a very friendly girl who adores her toys.​​

Echo

Meet Echo
Location: Calgary
  • 4 years old
  • Chihuahua mix
  • 10 lbs
This poor baby lost her family and her home, thankfully our partner rescue interceded and the rest is history! Echo loves people and does great with dogs. We think she would do well in a quiet home with all the love to herself. She was just spayed hence the cone.

Scooter

  • Terrier Mix
  • 12 lbs
Scooter is a lovely boy who is wonderful with other dogs and is trained on the leash. He will make a great addition to any home. More info to come.

Ellie

  • 7 lbs
Ellie is as sweet as can be, she likes dogs and people. More info to come.

Jasper

Meet Jasper
Location: Calgary
  • 1 year old
  • Australian Sheppard/Bernese mix
  • 45 lbs
Jasper loves kids, dogs, cats and believe it or not, he's even great with turkeys! Jasper loves his walks, he is friendly and so smart. He has medium energy, is great in cars and would make a fantastic adventure buddy.

Toby

Meet Toby
Location: Calgary
  • 1 year old
  • Cane Corso mix
  • 90 lbs
Toby was slated to be killed because he had pneumonia. We were able to get him out in time and he is healthy now and ready to love his new family. Toby is great with people and dogs! Our trainer will be working with him on recall and leash training.

Shadow

Meet Shadow
Location: Calgary
  • 2 years old
  • German Shepard mix
  • 45 lbs
Shadow is a gold star dog, he is great with cats, dogs and people. This poor dog has suffered so much but life is only looking up for him now! Shadow is being trained with our fabulous trainer who says he has a heart of gold. How many rescue dogs come professionally trained? He is crate, leash and house trained and is now looking for his own home!

Mikka

Location: Calgary

  • Mix breed
  • 40 lbs
Mikka was dumped at at 2 months old. She is now 8 months old and was a meet and greet dog at the high kill shelter. The only reason Mikka was not put on the dreaded kill list before now is because of her sweet personality. When we saw she was marked we could not stand by and let her be killed due to space!

Ellis

  • Shepard mix
  • 55 lbs
Ellis was a meet and greet dog at the high kill shelter in California. Unfortunately his time there was up and we could not let this friendly boy die due to overcrowding. We pulled him just in time. Ellis is great with dogs and people, even the kiddos! He is crate, leash and house trained and can not wait to have a loving family of his own. 

Eddie

IMPORT BAN INFO:

The new measures in place from CFIA only apply to animal rescues at this time. You can use the CFIA’s web tool to learn more about the import requirements for bringing dogs to Canada. It is recommended that importers and other individuals consult the CFIA’s Automated Import Reference System (AIRS) for Canada’s official import requirements.

​CB Rescue will not be bringing in any dogs for adoption from countries on the ban list.
